Suzuki cellists from Pre-Twinkle to advanced
Families with children ages 4 and up who want to make music-making part of their daily lives
Adult learners who are committed to music-making and want a teacher who will meet them where they are
Music lessons are not a weekly commitment, they are a daily commitment. Learning to play an instrument requires extensive work from the parent and child outside of the weekly lesson time.
Home practice time should typically match the length of the lesson, though very young children (6 and under) likely need to start with shorter sessions to build their stamina and attention.
I recommend 5-6 practice days per week, but students need an absolute minimum of 4 days a week in order to see any progress. With fewer than 4 days of practice per week, students get stuck and lessons become a chore rather than a joy.
Consistent lesson attendance is crucial to progress.
If you must miss a lesson, please provide at least 24 hours notice in order to be offered a make up or rescheduled lesson. Make ups are not guaranteed and are not offered for late cancellations or no-shows.
If I must miss a lesson I will always reschedule, make up, or refund that lesson.
Please do not attend a lesson if a student or parent is ill, even if the student attended school that day.
